That's silly, parrying is a part of the game. Who is to say Diego wouldn't master another aspect if it was removed. mastery of defense doesn't make you a great fighter? All that matters is if you adapt to your situation. The better fighter wins....

I never said it doesn't take take skill. My assertion is that Justin is the better fighter. Justin rarely parried where as Daigo frequently parried. If parrying were removed, there is little chance that Daigo would be as much of a beast as he is perceived to be.

It is a game that I enjoy for the entertainment. That doesn't prevent me from making an honest analysis of the footage. Aside from that, the merits of my life extend far deeper than how good I am at Street Fighter. I have various other accomplishments that contribute to my well rounded nature. Do not project your own feelings upon me as if they were my own. If you are envious of Daigo-sans ability, then so be it. But I have no desire to be like Daigo. I have far greater aspirations.

Daigo won because of parrying, not because of his ability to fight. Justin parried only to stop fireball pokes. The fact that both players danced around back and forth (literally) shows why parrying is so poorly conceived. Neither of them wants to actually jump in and fight because just about any standing or jumping attack can be easily evaded or parried. It makes for lame fights and even worse victories. 33% combo cancel damage because of no stun, no chip and no delay after a parry? Just sad.
